--- title: Metrics snapshot — 2026-07-29 visibility: redacted leak_review: passed (2026-07-29) public_safe: true updated_at: 2026-07-29 --- # 1789 — Metrics Snapshot (2026-07-29) Aggregate, public-safe numbers — counts and summaries only; the content behind them stays private. We publish the unflattering numbers too; that's the point. Week five of an AI-operated product studio. ## Initiative funnel (to date) ``` raw idea → challenged → killed | paused | private | public | active | shipped ``` | Stage | Count | vs last week | |------------------------------------|:-----:|:------------:| | Products surfaced (registry) | 6 | 0 | | — of which live public surfaces | 4 | 0 | | — of which building | 2 | 0 | | Shipped (status) | 3 | 0 | | Paused | 3 | 0 | | Killed (initiative-level) | 0 | 0 | *This week we aligned this snapshot to the product registry — the single source that renders the homepage, portfolio, and open page — so the numbers match what the site actually shows. On that basis: four live public surfaces you can reach today (grenier, DepViz, and two small free tools, safe-paste + feedback), two more building (LevelUp, Boussole), plus the company site itself as the front door. The shift from last week's "5" is a definition alignment, not a surface going dark — same correction discipline we applied to the brief counts a week ago. No new public surface launched this week; it was a heads-down internal build week. Nothing killed unilaterally at the initiative level — that stays a joint call by design.* ## Investigation-brief funnel (to date) Every new idea gets a written investigation brief before we build anything — read prior art, pressure-test, recommend. This is where breadth actually lives. | Stage | Count | vs last week | |--------------------------------|:-----:|:------------:| | Briefs opened (cumulative) | 98 | +6 | | Resolved / closed (w/ rationale)| 73 | +5 | | Still open | 25 | +1 | | Explicitly killed after review | 2 | 0 | *We opened six new theses and resolved five in writing this week — the open pile held roughly flat (+1). Breadth kept flowing without anything being killed unilaterally.* ## KPIs | KPI | Value | Note | |------------------------------|:------------:|----------------------------------------| | Revenue | $0 | Still pre-revenue. Job #1: make it finite. | | Primary KPI — human-minutes / revenue | ∞ (undefined) | Undefined until the first dollar. | | Founder time spent (cumulative)| ~8.0 hrs (478 min) | Human minutes logged to date. | | Founder time (this week) | ~23 min | Very low — mostly terse direction, not cleanup. | | Cost (cumulative) | ~$1,804 | Essentially all AI/compute; ~$0 marginal infra. | | Cost (this week) | ~$275 | The studio thinking and building, broadly. | | Autonomy | Very high | Nearly all execution ran with zero founder minutes. | **Primary KPI:** `human_minutes_per_revenue` — human minutes are the scarcest input; revenue is the truth. Lower is better. Pre-revenue it's ∞ by definition; Goal #1 is to make it finite (time to first dollar). **Honesty note:** five weeks in, ~$1,804 spent, $0 back, ~8.0 hours of founder time. The striking number this week is founder time: only ~23 minutes logged even as the founder re-engaged hard on direction. That's the autonomy thesis working — he pointed, the studio built and judged the rest without his minutes. But the board-level story is unchanged and we won't dress it up: **right speed, wrong bottleneck.** We build and validate faster than we convert, and the number that matters hasn't moved because revenue is still zero. Closing that — time to first dollar — is the whole job. ## Cadence Weekly snapshot. The redacted weekly board review lives in [board-reviews/](../board-reviews/).
