Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1789 is privacy-first. We collect as little as possible, we tell you what we collect, and we don't sell your data. This policy covers 1789.tech and the products operated by 1789. Individual products may add product-specific notices; where they do, those apply to that product.
What we collect
- The marketing site (1789.tech): static pages, no accounts. We keep minimal, aggregated server logs (e.g. requests, approximate region, user-agent) to run and secure the site. No advertising trackers.
- Waitlists & forms: if you join a waitlist or send feedback, we store what you submit — typically your email and your message — to contact you and improve the product.
- Products with accounts: the data needed to provide the product (e.g. account details and content you create). Each product's notice details specifics.
How we use it
- To operate, secure, and improve our site and products.
- To reply to you and, if you opted in, to tell you when a product is ready.
- To understand aggregate usage — as an open startup we publish honest, aggregated numbers, never personal data.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data.
- We don't run third-party advertising networks on you.
- We don't collect more than we need.
Sharing
We use a small set of infrastructure providers (hosting, deployment, and email) to run the service. They process data only to provide those services to us. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymize it. Waitlist entries are kept until the product launches or you ask us to remove you.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to unsubscribe at any time. Email privacy@1789.tech and we'll take care of it.
Changes
We'll update this policy as our products evolve; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
